Neglected, but not Forgotten

That's right, my blog. I haven't talked to you in nearly a week. Don't worry. I haven't forgotten about you!

I almost set a record today for staying at the office for 12 hours. Almost, but not quite! Too bad "almost" doesn't count for anything :(
(For some strange reason I want to reach that benchmark. I don't really understand why. I was only 20 minutes off today.)

I had some fun with 4 of my conversation classes. I introduced them to Elvis Presley (thank you youtube!) They actually knew who he was already, but didn't know his English name. The Chinese name for him means "Cat King". Still not sure about the "cat" part.

Tomorrow is the big day for the English skit. Ah! I'm getting a little nervous. I've been working with 4 students. Our skit is called "The Butterfly Effect" and talks about the environment and problems because of global warming. Our message is that everyone can do a little something to not aggravate the problem. Our background is sweet, and the girls do pretty well. I wish we had another week to perfect it! C'est la vie. I'll get some pictures tomorrow so you can see what I've been up to in my not-so-free time.

Hm, I can't think of anything else. I should get to bed soon since I have to get up early. No sleeping in this Saturday! We leave at 7:15 for the competition.

Hello Amberlee,
12 hours at school is a long time. Not sure why you want to achieve this "goal" but whatever.
I have been at work for 18+ hours at a time before. But something you try to forget!
Cat King is strange!!!
Is there really global warming? We have only been keeping good records of the earth's temp for less than 200 years. Who knows what temp cycles this earth has gone through over the millions of years of this earth! For sure I do not buy in to Al Gore's crap.
But yes each of us can do something to leave less of a footprint.
Love,
Dad

Glad to see you're okay. Luckily I have an "in" with your parents, so I get to hear how you are from them too. Busy, busy lady! I'll be anxiously awaiting the competition review!
