Hi Amberlee,
CONGRATULATIONS! Southern California - northern San Diego County will be blessed as you serve them and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Spanish speaking is super! You and your brother will be able to converse in Espanol!!!
YES you were totally shaking when you were opening it. But don't worry - so was your brother when he opened his. Very normal response.
Not sure why the stomach affects the throat.
VERY FUNNY that you didn't see the second paragraph that said Spanish speaking... But your Mom and Dad wonder why they put that in the second paragraph anyway. It should be at the end of the first paragraph so you read it all as one.
The look on your face when you read the second paragraph and saw Spanish - PRICELESS!!!!!!
Not sure why you thought you would go foreign. One never knows I guess. Funny that not one person thought of California. There are plenty of LDS missionaries in Cali.
Love,
Dad

Congratulations Sister!!! You will be an awesome missionary and represent the Lord Jesus Christ well. Southern California is a great area. You will feel like you are on a foreign mission...you will probably teach many nationalities there. Jen finished up her mission in San Fernando, California mission after having to leave Guatemala with a back problem and she loved it. You will have many mission comps that will be from Utah and you will be able to go to their homecomings when you get home. Also both of Jens mission president were from Utah and we got to go to their homecomings. Good luck.
Remember who you are and who you have alway been and what you stand for. Love Don and Janet Ballard

P.S. Oh and about that foreign mission you expected...that is later in your life when you and your husband get called as mission presdent!!!!!! Don't laugh.
Love the Ballards :)
